Thanksgiving Meal Prep!
Questions, answers, discussions this Monday, plus some extra meat pies food porn by Quentin Bacon I want to share!
The one holiday all American’s share is Thanksgiving, a holiday centered around food. Ironically, it is the food itself that overwhelms and confounds so many of us. I have written widely on Thanksgiving cooking and cooking for large groups, offered my recipes and techniques for smooth and delicious meals, how to serve HOT delicious turkey, how to make gravy and so on.
But I wanted to offer paid subscribers—and anyone thinking of becoming a paid subscribe—the opportunity to ask me questions on your particular meal, or any discussions on Thanksgiving meal strategies generally, to thank you for support.
If you’re not a paid subscriber, don’t want to become a paid subscriber, but would like to join the discussion, I believe you can do a one-month trial subscription for $5.
So here is my question: I would be happy to set up a Zoom meeting for those who want face-to-face, back-and-forth conversation from 5 - 6 p.m. eastern this Monday; is this something that would be useful to you. I will also be putting up a post that day specifically to take questions in the comments section, regardless.
Of course, the vast majority of my readers are already accomplished and confident cooks, so maybe no one wants or needs this! But I’d be happy for any conversation at all about our shared holiday.
Leave a message in comments if you want a Zoom Monday evening eastern time. If I have ten or more takers, I’ll set that up. Otherwise, look for a paid-subscriber Thanksgiving post on Monday to field questions and comments!
